TEA Tenerife Space of the Arts received the meeting "Challenge of digital local television. Quality of culture and communication", a meeting open to debate where four experts in the matter analysed different alternatives for the medium as well as its contents and the public policies related to it.
Problems of quality of the contents, the models and the alternatives of programming and production, the control and the good governance of the public television and the analysis of the experience already accumulated in some cases of good practices of the sector (represented with the example of Barcelona Televisio) were the central axes of the meeting.
Enrique Bustamante, Professor of Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid; Ramón Zallo, Professor at the University of the Basque Country; Emili Prado, Director of the GRISS and Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the host and director of Barcelona Television (BTV), Angel Casas were the professionals chosen to intervene in this meeting organized by the town council of Tenerife, which generated much debate after each of the lectures.
